Core Values
For the Council to be in an environment that enables it to achieve its goals of promoting and overseeing the development of Kiswahili within and outside the country, the following shall be the core values: -
(i) To promote community participation: To motivate the use of Standard Kiswahili in official communication;
(ii) Team-work: To work as a team to achieve the goals of the Council and the community at large;
(iii) Hard working: To increase efforts in serving and to focus more on the quality of services offered;
(iv) Integrity: To be honest and exemplary in performing our duties;
(v) Responsibility: To work hard and be focused on enhancing and promoting Kiswahili nationally and internationally;
(vi) Optimal use of resources: To use the Council resources properly and carefully for the benefit and the development of Kiswahili;
(vii) Transparency: To be open in duty implementation and ready to receive opinions from the community members; and
(viii) Flexibility: To be able to adopt changes as they arise.
