Jifunze Kiswahili

This is introductory training sessions designed to introduce the swahili language and its culture to participants. This course will enable learners to engage in basic and everyday communication in Swahili. Key areas include greetings, self-introduction, and simple descriptions of daily life.

Through various teaching methods such as role-plays, performances, and interactive language games, learners will acquire basic vocabulary related to situations and events of daily life and explore topics aimed at familiarizing them with Tanzanian social and cultural norms.

Alongside classroom activities, learners will participate in field trips and various social activities aimed at immersing them in the community to enable them to speak Swahili in authentic environments.

Greetings, self-introduction, introducing family members, ordering food and drinks, negotiating prices and shopping at the market/store, discussing current, past, and future events, telling time in Swahili, discussing work or expertise, addressing health issues, giving and receiving instructions/directions, indicating the location of something or someone.
